Gravity Forms

Personal License: $39/year

Use unlimited forms with unlimited entries for only one site. Features like Auto-responders, Export Entries, Spam Protection are available but there are no add-ons included.

Business License: $99/year

At this price point basic add-ons can be added and you can use the license on up to 3 websites.

Developer License: $199/year

You get everything with this license, including priority ticket support and access to advanced add-ons.

For all plans you will get a full year of support and updates from the date of purchase.  If you don't renew your subscription Gravity will still work but you won't get any updates or access to support.

Gravity Forms is a WordPress form plugin so if your website is built on another platform you might want to look at the other form builders.

There is no free trial, but a demo is available if you wish to get a feel of the Gravity Forms administration before you buy.

Ninja Forms

Personal Plan: $99

This one is going to offer more features like Conditional Logic, File Uploads or Multi-Part Forms. Plus, you get 20% off for any additional adon installed. Depending on how many add-ons you choose and how many websites you own the price will vary. All of this for 1 site with 1 year of updates and support.

Proffessional Plan: $199

This plan includes 40% off aditional add-ons witch may be installed on up to 20 sites, plus even faster support email response times (8 business hours).

Agency Plan: $499

With the Agency Membership you'll have access to all 40 add-on that Ninja Forms sells at this moment, priority email response (4 business hours), Live / Screenshare support, access to the Builder PRO Pack, PDF form Submissions and integrations with popular online services like MailChimp, Salessforce, PayPal or Zapier.

Ninja Forms are only available for WordPress.org sites. If your site is not built on WordPress go with Wufoo.

Keep in mind that for all plans you will get a full year of support and updates from the date of purchase. If you wish to continue getting support or updates after one year you will have to renew your subscription.

You'll only get 30 day refunds for individual extensions but the bundle purchases cannot be refunded.

Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms—like a number of other WordPress form plugins—lets you make forms inside of your WordPress Admin pages and it comes styled to work out of the box with just about any theme.

If you want to tweak the way your form looks you can use the Gravity Forms CSS classes under the advanced field settings to do so. Nevertheless this will require some coding skills so if you don't want to get your hands dirty try the demo forms first and see if they match with your WP theme.

Ninja Forms

Ninja Forms have a clean and simple design. There are no form templates available at this moment. Customization is possible, although not on a deep level, but is enough to integrate the forms with your website design.

If you wish to customize your design a drag and drop editor is available but being already familiar with the WordPress interface might help.

Conditional logic is at the same level of complexity as in Ninja Forms.

Gravity Forms also allows you to create WordPress posts from user entries or quickly build surveys and reader polls with open-ended text fields, drop down menus, checkboxes, numerical fields, and multiple-choice questions.

Ninja Forms

Most of Ninja Forms' features are available as add-ons: conditional logic, multiple forms, file uploads, login customization. Check pricing to see exactly how many add-ons are included in every plan. If you need more features but want to stay on budget go with Gravity.

Frontend posting is a great feature that allows you to create posts, pages, or custom post types from user input.

Gravity Forms is also a WordPress plugin, the backend is quite identical to Ninja.

After you install the plugin you will find a new Forms section in the the WP admin menu where you'll be able to add new forms, edit your forms, and see their results.

A drag and drop editor is available and creating, editing or sharing your forms is not that much more difficult than using Ninja.

Ninja Forms

Being a WordPress plugin, Ninja Forms has their interface integrated into the WP admin panel. If you are familiar with WordPress you'll have no trouble creating your forms.

Just select New form to access the drag and drop form builder. The add-ons and extensions will also be available under the Forms menu.

The business licence gives you access to integrations (basic add-ons) with all the major email marketing services like (Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, AWeber, etc.). With the Developer licence you'll have access to the advanced add-ons.

The downside is that the add-ons are only available with the Business or Developer Licence so if you are running only one website go with Ninja Forms.

Ninja Forms

Ninja Forms integrates with the most popular email marketing app like AWeber, MailChimp or Constant Contact, GetResponse or iContact so you can quickly create newsletter signup forms.

A huge list of integrations like PayPal Express, Zoho CRM, Stripe and many others is available.

If you need too many of these add-ons Ninja Forms could get on the pricey side so you might consider Gravity Forms.

All the add-ons available make Ninja Forms a very flexible form builder but at the same time if you are planning on using too many of these extensions the service will get a bit costly.

Using the Excel Export add-on you can export Ninja Forms submissions to an Excel file.

You can also reach them on Facebook and Twitter, for quick support questions, they usually respond within a few hours.

Ninja Forms

Ninja Forms also provide a extensive knowledge base and very good documentation. They offer support via email, with different response times, depending on the subscription (from 24 business hours for the free plan to 4 business hours for users with pro membership).
